TARDIS blend (general)
TARDISblend is the official Geeks of Doom (http://geeksofdoom.com) podcast dedicated to the Universe(s) of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and the Sarah Jane Adventures. Hosted by Greg Davies and Tom Cheredar.

Taking Bill (Pearl Mackie) for a trip into space, The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is also followed by Nardole (Matt Lucas) where they find themselves on a seemingly abandoned space station. But after investigating a little, the trio find themselves in a precarious situation, that could have severe consequences… one breath at a time…

During TARDISblend 104, we celebrate writer Jamie Mathieson‘s return to Doctor Who delivering one of the strongest (and creepiest!) stories of the season. We also examine THAT plot twist (Spoilers, Sweetie!), and drill down into the acting force of Capaldi, Mackie, and Lucas.

All this and more on the latest TARDISblend!

Presented by Greg Davies (cGt2099 from The Heavy Metal Historian Podcast) and geek journalist Tom Cheredar, TARDISblend is a podcast that takes a look at the ongoing adventures in the Doctor Who Universe – as Peter Capaldi concludes his journey as the Doctor!

Echoing experiences from the Seventh Doctor and the Eleventh Doctor, our current Doctor (Peter Capaldi) discovers strange “haunted house” happenings in Bill Potts’ (Pearl Mackie) house that she is renting with new students for the new semester. The Doctor’s concerns about the house become reality, and a new mystery is presented before our heroes, that may prove to be fatal…

During TARDISblend 103, we discuss Mark Bartlett‘s first story written for Doctor Who, examine which previous episodes mirror this experience of Knock Knock, and take a glance at the new friends hanging out with Bill before her next semester begins.

TARDISblend 78: Kill The Moon

The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) takes Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) and Courtney Woods (Ellis George) on a trip to the Moon in 2049, only to find that the anticipated gravity is impossibly like that of Earth. Soon, deadly creatures begin emerging from the depths of the Moon, and the Doctor discovers that not everything is as it seems…

During TARDISblend 78, we discuss the dark and spooky aspects of the latest Doctor Who episode, hearkening back to feel of the Philip Hinchcliffe era of the series. We also look at the not-so-subtle social commentary injected into this adventure, and speculate on how some elements may tie into the overarching plot.

All this and more on the latest TARDISblend!

TARDISblend 75: Listen

"What’s that in the mirror… or the corner of your eye? What’s that footstep following, but never passing by? Perhaps they’re all just waiting. Perhaps when we’re all dead… out they’ll come a’slithering from underneath the bed."

The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) begins a quest that has been a focus of his life, a mystery that, with the help of Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman), may bring more questions than it does answers… And the only way we can find out the truth, is to Listen

During TARDISblend 75, we discuss our reactions to one of Steven Moffat‘s finest contributions to Doctor Who, a vast contrast to the previous episode. Later, we speculate on how some elements may tie into the overarching plot running through this current series.

After their victory against The Silents, the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companions decide to head off into the seas of the 17th century, where in responding to a distress signal they come face to face with the famous pirate, Captain Henry Avery (Hugh Bonneville). But not all is as it seems - for Avery's ship is stuck in calm waters, haunted by the curse of a Siren (Lily Cole), who comes to claim those that have been marked with the Black Spot...

During TARDISblend 25, we review the events of The Curse of the Black Spot, and find ourselves to be somewhat disappointed at the poor editing and pacing of what could have been a very fun episode. From missing pirates to "Kenny from South Park" (Arthur Darvill), we find the saving grace to be elements of the overaching story arc and discuss who the mysterious Madame Kovarian (Frances Barber) could possibly be and why only Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) can see her.

We also discuss some in-universe fan debating over the use of the Sonic Screwdriver during this season. Our Classic Doctor Who recommendations this week also tie into ships and/or pirates, and we take a flashback to the Secondary Console Room in the TARDIS during the Tom Baker era. All this and more on the latest TARDISblend!
